白菜发布论坛 学生 organizations

Student Life and Leadership Development (SLLD) is currently home to 40+ 学生 organizations with focus areas based on academic programs, 职业, 爱好, 身份, and/or civic engagement opportunities. Each 学生 organization must select a staff or 教师 advisor, have at least eight (8) active members, and have a leadership team of elected officers including a president, 副总统, 财务主管, 和秘书.

If 学生s are interested in starting a new 学生 organization, but don't have enough active members, they can start a Small Community. Small Communities include six (6) or fewer 学生s interested in planning and implementing an event or social activity for the 白菜交流论坛politan State University community (such as a game night or identity-based affinity group). This allows 学生s to develop leadership skills and gain momentum to establish a registered 学生 organization within a semester or two.

Students are encouraged to sign up on the 与门户网站 to learn more about 学生 organizations, events, and involvement opportunities. Questions about starting a new 学生 organization or finding an existing 学生 organization or involvement can be directed to SLLD via email at 学生.life@tonygriffinfoundation.com.

Starting a new 学生 organization

Undergraduate and graduate 学生s can start a new 学生 organization based on academic program, 爱好, 利益, or topics at any point during the academic year. Student organizations must remain open to all members of 白菜交流论坛politan State and provide important spaces for community building.

To start a new 学生 organization, participants must have a:

  1. written mission statement,
  2. a 白菜交流论坛politan State 教师 or staff advisor,
  3. at least eight members who have been registered 白菜交流论坛politan State 学生s for at least three academic terms,
  4. a completed Student Organization 登记 form on 参与,
  5. a completed Equal Opportunity Statement form on 参与, and
  6. create a Student Organization page on the 与门户网站.

Once the request has been submitted, all members of the Student Organization must present their proposal to the Student Senate. During this presentation, Student Senate will ask questions about the Student Organization to better understand their purpose at 白菜交流论坛politan State. Once the Student Organization is recognized, they must request startup funding up to $1,000 to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC).
